According to a Los Angeles Times article of 09/02/1956, the exhibit"...sponsored by the the Los Angeles Municipal Arts Department in co-operation with the Architectural Panel, will use scores of photo-murals, models, original drawings and explanatory texts to show the way in which lasting impression was made on homes, stores, offices and factories of today." The article continued: "Created by the Architectural Panel under the co-ordinating chairmanship of Kelly Buchanan, the display is designed as a traveling exhibit which may later be shown by galleries and architectural schools throughout the country." The show was mounted at Hollyhock House, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and supervised by Rudolph Schindler.
