Building History

Johnson/Burgee collaborated with Kendall/Heaton Associates, Incorporated, on the design of 101 California. This was Houston-based developer Gerald Hines's (b. 1925) first completed project in San Francisco, CA, finished in 1983. Johnson/Burgee Architects of New York, NY, also collaborated with Kendall/Heaton and the Hines Partners Limited Partners on the 23-story office tower at 580 California Street completed in 1984.
