Building History

John Cotter Pelton, Jr., (1856-1952) designed this two-floor hotel for the Rosecrans Land Company in 1888. The Rosecrans Hotel contained about twenty rooms and cost in neighborhood of $15,000 to erect. (See "J.C. Pelton: Buildings Completed," Los Angeles Herald, 01/01/1889, p. 15.)
