Building History

William Waddington selected Lot #2 of the "Waddington Segregation" real estate parcel as the site of his own house. He applied for a building permit with the City of Mercer Island on 01/03/1963, and it was issued on 01/25/1963. Construction proceeded throughout 1963, with the foundation having been inspected on 02/25/1963, the electrical system on 06/11/1963, framing on 06/11/1963, and the gas system on 08/30/1963. A final strucutral and systems inspection was made on 01/24/1964.

Waddington applied to renew the building permt on 05/26/1964, 06/03/1965 and 06/27/1965, according to City of Mercer County building permit records. The permit form was stamped “Finaled” on 01/21/1967.
