The comedian, Lenny Bruce, was thrown through a plate glass window at Googie's in a fight in 02/1957.

This first Googie's Restaurant, for which the 1950s, space-age architectural style was named, was located next door to the legendary Schwab's Pharmacy.

Googie's Hollywood Corporation, owner of Googie's, applied for a liquor license in 1955, and had plans to turn Googie's into "Sherry's" a bar. This did not happen.

Demolished in the 1990s; a mini-mall replaced it.
