The Seattle Mariners objected to plans for the development of a Deja Vu strip club nearby to its stadium, Safeco Field. The team invoked a city law that stated than no such strip club can be within 800 feet of schools, child-care facilites, community centers, public parks, or other strip clubs. Attorneys for Deja Vu, a national chain, argued that the Mariners had no standing here as the law prohibits location of strip clubs within 400 feet of public parks, not baseball stadiums.
