The Parks and Green Spaces Levy was seeking money to fund $9 million for seismic upgrades to the Seattle Asian Art Museum, $2 million for Victor Steinbrueck Park, $4 million for the Burke-Gilman Trail, $10 million for safety improvements at 23 city park playgrounds, $10 million to renovate other neighborhood parks, and $15 million to fund citizen proposals. Mayor Greg Nickels opposed putting too many funding requests on the levy legislation.
