"John C. Olmstead [sic], landscape architect of the Panama-California Exposition, is touring the northern part of the State in quest of plants and shrubs required to carry out his designs for the grounds in Balboa Park. He will likely visit State Institutions and likely will call on Luther Burbank. Upon his return, there will be a conference between Director of Works Frank P. Allen, Bertram G. Goodhue, designer of buildings, and Irving J. Gill, consulting architect, as to plans for permanent buildings to be decided. Architect Goodhue is now at Colon, where the government will erect a large hotel of which he is the architect."
