Notes:
Two King County measures benefiting King County Parks were passed in a primary election, 08/21/2007. "The first would replace the expiring 2003 levy, increasing it from 4.9 cents to 5 cents per $1,000 of assessed valuation. That would raise about $105 million over six years for operation and maintenance of the country's 25,000 acres of parks and 175 miles of hiking and biking trails. The second measure, also a 5-cent levy for six years, would finance acquisition of open space by the county for parks (with 60 percent of the revenue), development of trails within cities (20 percent) and expanded programs at the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle (20 percent)."
