"Contracts for five new school buildings to be constructed at an aggregate cost of more than $560,000 were awarded yesterday by the City Board of Education. H.H. Hinds was awarded the general contract for building the new East Second Street school, to be erected in Hollenbeck Heights at a cost of $102,890. The plans were made by Charles W. Hutchinson. The same contractor will build three other new schools to cost $84,000 each, designed by Thomas F. Power."
