The Washington State Department of Health approved the construction of a 175-bed, branch hospital in Issaquah, WA, although the same application was denied in 2004. The new facility was to be built in three stages with 80, 140 and 55 beds and was to be opened by 2012. The contract noted that if the third phase was not built within seven years of the first, the final phase would be have to be scrapped.
