Buchanan wrote: "On warmer days the long-paned windows, many of which are original, will slide open and let in a cool breeze. The windows were the most difficult part of the renovation, said architect Jonathan Hartung. Glassmakers had to custom-build panes to the exact specification of the 94-year-old originals, which meant creating knives that would cut the glass the same way, he said."
