"1889: Stanford University Junior Museum [sic], constructed in steel reinforced concrete from designs originally made for sandstone by contractor Ernest Ransome, bush hammered to produce a distinctive tecture. With all the walls and floors of concrete and a roof of interlocking concrete tiles on iron trusses, the practicability of monolithic concrete was demonstrated."
