Publication Notes
The brochure was published by the Washington Mutual Savings Bank, and had a full list of firms that co-operated in building and equipping the Honeymoon Home. The brochure noted that the house's plans were done by Donald P. Thomas and "approved by J. Lister Holmes and Charles H. Alden" of the Washington Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. The brochure noted that the "Architecture of the Honeymoon Home was inspired by 11th-century stone-built cottages found in the English Cotswold District. The Cotswold dwellings seen to grow out of the earth as though part of the landscape--harmonious in form and material with their surroundings. The spirit of this English setting is quiet and unassuming, just such a peaceful haven as honeymooners set out in which to start their happiness."
