"Architect Willis Polk of San Francisco has prepared plans for a country playhouse with a seating capacity of 250 people, to be built on the site adjoining the new polo grounds in El Montecito. It will be in Italian Renaissance [sic] octagonal in shape, surrounded by a series of arched loggias; tile roof...The trustees are Mrs. William Miller Graham, Earl Graham, Clinto B. Hale, Edward Salisbury Field and Mrs. Isabel Strong"
