Notes:
Guthrie came to Los Angeles in 1937 and got his first serious performing job on an L. A. radio station, KFVD. His travels eventually took him to New York where, in 1952, Guthrie was finally diagnosed with Huntington's chorea. He returned to L. A. and lived out his last years in a little wood shack on Will Geer's land in Topanga Canyon. "Woody's Shack" is now a private residence at the Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum."
