Outside walls are of stucco over frame and left natural color. Half-timbering strips are adze-hewn, and, together with remaining exterior woodwork, aged with acids to a nut-brown shade. Roof of split shakes, laid in double thickness and in waved courses. Terraces paved with flag sandstone. The house has a large basement and is equipped with furnace heat.
