SF hotel regains lustrous past: Fairmont reopens bar, restaurant that were designed in 1907

The Laurel Court bar and restaurant, adjacent to the lobby, replaced the New Orleans Bar and Squire Room. The designers restored three vaulted domes, supported by Corinthian columns, in the room. One original chandelier hangs above the restored marble mosaic passageway that divides the bar form the restaurant. Artist Robert Kenneth White painted murals of Northern California landscapes on the walls.
