Notes:
The building is to be erected on south side of Post Street, between Powell and Mason Streets, San Francisco, by the National League for Women's Service. The sketch, by Willis Polk, shows proposed doorway. This work will require the collaboration of a sculptor. The motif is symbolical of services rendered during war time by San Francisco women who, through their'Defenders'Clubs,'comforted and cheered soldiers and sailors on their way.
