The State of Washington Department of Transportation provided a public hearing about 3 designs for a Montlake interchange discussed in a supplemental draft environmental-impact statement regarding the new 520 Bridge replacement. Newly-elected Mayor Mike McGinn advocated that a light-rail line should be built on the bridge from the beginning, not sometime in the future. On the other side, Microsoft advocated doing away with more public hearings and urged enacting current plans.
