Austin & Co., 1969, Los Angeles, CA; founded Hamshire House Fabrics and Furniture, Los Angeles, CA, 1993; Austin's client list included singer, Diana Ross, A&M Records Co-Founder, Jerry Moss, comedian, Phil Silvers, hotelier, Nicky Hilton, actress, Polly Bergen, musician Herb Alpert, and entertainment mogul, David Geffen; one of his best known assignments was decorating Hugh Hefner's Playboy Mansion, Holmby Hills, Los Angeles, CA, c. 1970; Austin died of cancer at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA;
