Doug attended South Fremont High School in Saint Anthony, ID, and then matriculated at the University of ID, in Moscow.

He spent much of his adult life working as an architect in Seattle, WA, and teaching at the University of Washington as a lecturer in the Department of Architecture.

Parents

His mother was Bernice Kifer (born 02/18/1908 in WA-d. 01/16/2005 in Ogden, UT), who managed the household consisting of her husband Ulrich and two boys, Douglas and Rudy Ulrich Zuberbuhler (born 05/05/1940 in WA). Ulrich Herman Zuberbuhler (born 01/24/1909 in Trout Lake, WA-d. 01/22/1996 in Ogden, UT), his father, worked as a US Forest Service ranger in 1950.
