Biographical Notes

Lovell Bearse Pemberton was also a poet and dramatist. He wrote Sappho and Other Songs, (Los Angeles, CA: Times-Mirror Printing and Binding House, 1895) and the play Prometheus Unbound. A Lyrical Drama, (Franklin, OH: The Editor Publishing Company, 1896). The latter was also a play of the same name (Prometheus Unbound, a Lyrical Drama in Four Acts) by Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792-1822) published in 1820.
