Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Denice Johnson attended university in Boston and Cambridge, MA, at Tufts University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, graduating in 1976. She moved with her husband, John, to Seattle, WA, in 1978.

In 1980, she and her family resided at 1104 8th Avenue West, in the city's Queen Anne neighborhood.

Parents

Her father was of Caribbean-African descent, her mother of Caribbean-Asian heritage.

Spouse

She married John Hunt, and took his last name, becoming known as Denice Johnson Hunt.

Children

She and John had two children, a daughter, Julian, and a son, Colin.

Biographical Notes

Hunt filed naturalization paperwork to become an American citizen on 09/17/1980. She received naturalization on 02/13/1981.
