Parents

His father was Samuel Luscomb Blee (born c. 11/1852 in England-d. 01/22/1906 in Milton, MA), his mother, Agnes Isabel G. Scott Blee (born c. 09/1855 in MA-d. 1941 in Boston, MA). In 1900, the US Census recorded that Samuel was a painter in Boston's Ward 24. According to the 1900 Census, he immigrated to the US in 1867, and was still an alien in that year.

He married Ethel J. Slater Blee (b. 09/15/1879 in MA-d. 08/23/1969 in Los Angeles, CA). They married on 11/29/1905 in Fitchburg, MA. Her parents were Samuel Slater and Elizabeth F. Kelly.

In 1941, after his death, she resided at 1191 South Norton Avenue in Los Angeles.

Children

John and Ethel had three daugters, Mary Louise Blee Engblom (born 02/26/1912 in San Gabriel, CA-d. 04/12/1988 in CA), Betty Jane Blee Kellam (09/17/1913 in CA-d. 08/08/2001 in Los Angeles, CA), and Jacqueline Scott Blee (born 12/05/1914 in CA-d. 01/22/2002 in Los Angeles, CA).
