An short notice in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer of 10/05/1906 said: "Ole Hanson has sold all of Beacon Park addition to nineteen purchasers for Chas. Delfel and Mr. Knight, total consideration $17,000. He has also sold lot 4, block 6, Eastern addition to the Harvard Investment Company for $28,500." Representative, Washington House of Representatives, Seattle, WA, 1908-1909;

Candidate for the US Senate, Bull Moose Party, Washington State, 1912 (defeated).

Mayor, Seattle, WA, 1918-1919. Hanson presided over Seattle during the city's very tumultuous General Strike of 02/06/1919-02/11/1919. Hanson resigned from office on 08/26/1919, approximately four months after an anarchist mail-bomb was sent to him.
