Born in OH, Fotheringham resided for most of his adult life in Spokane, WA. In 1920, he resided in an apartment building at the Crest Hotel, 1224 West Riverside Avenue, with his wife, Mary and son, Benjamin. A relative, Dell Fotheringham, lived in the same building with his wife, Jessie.
