Born in San Francisco, CA, Henry P. Villalon had moved to Fresno by 1919, when he resided at 1018 N Street. (See Fresno City Directory 1919, n.p.) In 1942, Villalon and his wife, Rose, lived in 77 Herman Street, Apartment #3, in San Francisco, while he worked at the Western Asbestos Company, 675 Townsend Street.

Biographical Notes

There is some disagreement about Villalon's date of birth. His U.S. World War II Draft Registration Card of 1917 stated his birthdate to have been 03/05/1893, while his U.S. World War II Draft Registration Card of 1942 indicated that the date was 03/05/1894. The California Death Index, however, listed the date as 03/05/1898. It is unclear why these discrepancies exist. His U.S. World War II Draft Registration Card of 1942 noted that Villalon, at age 48, stood 5-feet, 8-inches tall and weighed 185 pounds. He had dark hair and complexion with blue eyes.
