Relocation

Takeshi was born in Selleck, WA, a company lumber town located in eastern King County. His family lived here until c. 1915, when they moved to Seattle. Takeshi lived with his parents before getting married in 1940. The US Government interned him at its relocation camp at Minidoka, ID during the war. He returned after WW II to work with his father and brother, Tommy, in the family landscaping business. Takeshi and Kiyo Kubota lived at 9817 55th Avenue South in 1960. He died in Seattle, WA, at the age of 83.

Parents

His mother was Kumae Kubota (1882-1949), his father, Fujitaro, (1880-1973), a noted landscape designer. He worked with his father for many years in the Kubota Gardening Company.

Spouse

Takeshi wed Kiyo Kaneko on 06/23/1940 in Seattle.
