Park was born in the farming town of Bruning, NE, in 1927. His family resided there until about 1938, when it relocated to Los Angeles, CA.
In Los Angeles, Donald assisted his father and brother who were building contractors. His father nurtured his interest in building and design by buying him architectural magazines. Spouse
He wed Mary Ann Nicholas, (d. 2005), in 1947. They were wed for 57 years.
After Mary Ann's death, he developed a fclose relationship with Betty Hostrup.
