An only child, Richard Bouillon grew up in Seattle, WA, where his father was a well-known consulting engineer.

The 1940 US Census located the Bouillon Family living at 2211 32nd Avenue South in Seattle. The family retained a household servant, Margaret Ryan, (born c. 1905 in IA). Bouillion died of cancer at age 45.


His father was the accomplished engineer, Lincoln Bouillon (), his mother, Louise Huntington Richards (born 07-04-1906-d. 03/1980). They married in Seattle at his in-law's residence on 09/12/1925.


While still a student, Richard Bouillon had married Donna J. Hinton (born 11/11/1928 in Seattle, WA-d. 01/18/2014 in WA).
