Cameron worked with the architect Mel Streeter (1931-2006).

Partner/Partner Emeritus, Rolluda Architects, Incorporated, Seattle, WA, 2008-c. 2020. Cameron served as Rolluda Architect's Lead Architect on the rebuilding of the University of Washington's Samuel E. Kelly Ethnic Cultural Center (ECC), completed in 2013. Cameron had become an "Principal Emeritus" by 2021. The Rolluda Architects, web site said of Cameron: "Sam has worked at Rolluda Architects since 2008 where he focuses on a variety of projects including mixed-use buildings, affordable and work-force housing, K-12 and higher education projects, as well as projects with various municipalities around the state."
