The University of California, Berkeley, College of Environmental Design Archives has maintained the Ernest and Esther Born Archival Collection, spanning 1924-1985; it noted of the collection: "The Ernest and Esther Born collection contains six series, and is comprised of two primary parts: Ernest Born’s personal and professional papers and the records of his practice including design, exhibit, and building projects; and the architectural photographs of Esther Born." According to architectural historian Inge Horton, "...There are three archives in addition to the Environmental Design Archives who hold her photographic material. According to Inge Horton: "...She earned her A.B. in Architecture in 1924 and then took graduate courses until 1926 as recommended by Howard for all students." Esther Born's created a photographic essay for the Architectural Record (04/1937) of modern architecture in Mexico was later supplemented and republished as The New Architecture in Mexico (New York: William Morrow and Company, 1937). Her SSN was 567226402.
