Born in Seattle, WA, Paul A. Thiry, Jr., spent his formative years here. He graduated from O'Dea High School c. 1961 and the University of Washington in the late 1960s.

In his later years, Thiry made his home in Issaquah, WA.


His father was the Seattle architect, Paul A. Thiry, Sr., (1904-1993), an important Modern architect in the region. His mother was Mary P. Thomas (born 09/06/1911 in Seattle, WA-d. 12/13/1986 in Seattle, WA). Mary married Paul, Sr., on 10/26/1940 in Seattle.

Paul had a brother, Pierre Phillippe Thiry (born 09/1946 in Seattle, WA).

Biographical Notes
