A "Walter R. Webber" born in MA in 08/1863, lived with his mother, "Helen," in a boarding house at 2500 Vermont Street in Los Angeles. The 1900 US Census indicated that Webber was a widower at the time and that he worked as a wholesale fruit merchant. They lived in the house of a single woman, Emily C. Clarke (born c. 06/1868 in CA). Ms. Clarke also had a widowed servant, Emma Pinkerton (born c. 10/1847 in OH).
