A Spokane Chronicle article described the State of WA's architectural registration practices in 1961: “'It is the culmination of five years of study and, under the new architects' licensing law for the state of Washington, three years of office practice, before taking the examination,’" Mrs. Windowski explained. “The four-day examination covers sight planning, design, structural engineering, specification writing, office practice and mechanical and electrical comprehension. It is given at the University of Washington in Seattle.
