Leander Allen Dow was born in Minneapolis, MN, but moved to Spokane, WA, in 1889 with his parents. His father, John K, Dow, moved to Spokane after its Great Fire of 08/04/1889.
According to Dow's World War I Draft Registration Card, he lived in Great Falls, MT, on 06/05/1917. The R.L. Polk and Company's Seattle City Directory, 1917, indicated, however, that he worked in his father's Seattle architectural office.
At age 55, Leander Dow worked at 845 Bellevue Place in Seattle, WA. In 04/1942, he operated the Leander Dow Manufacturing Company at 2208 4th Avenue in Seattle.
