His father was Harry Flandreau Disosway (b. 07/26/1887 in Brooklyn, NY-d. 10/21/1953 , an insurance broker working in New York, NY, in 1940. His mother, Lelia Estala "Stella" Pazmino, managed the household. Stella (born c. 1901-d. 07/23/1960 in Harvard, MA), of Ecuadorian descent, was 14 years younger than her husband when they married on 06/17/1931 in Brooklyn, NY.
