in 2008, Bain belonged to the American Institute of Architects and American Institute of City Planners and was LEED Certified. Since 1996, she has specialized in campus planning; Bain participated--in her capacity as Principal at Mithun--as a Consultant to the University of Washington Tacoma's Campus Plan 2008 Update; the UW Tacoma Office of the Chancellor profiled her career: "Brodie Bain has 19 years experience as an architect and planner with a focus on campus planning, programming and pre-design. For the past 12 years Brodie, has focused almost exclusively on higher education . Her career has been strongly influenced by a passion for supporting an institution’s mission and for design/behavior studies. As master planner, programmer or architect, understanding the user experience is always at the forefront.
