Jim Lambright married more than once; his later wife was Lynne Lambright, who, like his first wife, also contracted bladder cancer.

Son: Eric Lambright; daughter: Kris Hevly; stepsons: Brad Mackie and Bart Mackie; stepson, Brent Mackie, died in 1998 of a heart attack;

Lambright suffered from bladder cancer in 2003, and made a full recovery; known as "Jim" Lambright.
