His father was Tin Yu Fong (born 11/06/1907 in Ho Chung Village, China-d. 01/06/1969 in CA), who, according to a 03/25/1959 US naturalization document, also went by the names Yuen Sun Wing, Yuan S. Wing and Fong Git Chow. In 1959, he operated a grocery store in Oakland, CA. His father served in the US Army between 11/03/1942 until 06/23/1943, at which time he was honorably discharged. He began his military service in San Francisco, CA. Tin became a US citizen on 03/25/1959.
