There is a discrepancy about the location of Wallmann's birth; the American Architects Directory 1956 (New York, NY: R.R. Bowker, 1956, p. 583) indicated that he was born in San Francisco, CA. Richard E. Ritz in his Architects of Oregon, (Portland, OR: Lair Hill Publishing Company, 2002, p.406) stated that he was born in Oakland, CA. As the American Architects Directory used information supplied by the architect, it is being cited as the birthplace until proven otherwise.
