Interior Designer, Compagnie de I’Esthetique Industrielle, Paris, France. This was one of three companies established by industrial designer Raymond Loewy (1893-1986).

Interior Designer, Bjorn and Bernadotte, Designers, Copenhagen, Denmark. This firm was established by architect Acton Bjorn (1910-1992), a Dane, and Count Sigvard Bernadotte (1907-2002), a Swedish nobleman and designer, in Copenhagen in 1950. Bernadotte was known as "Prince Sigvard of Sweden, Duke of Uppland," until his marriage to a commoner in 1934, leaving him dispossessed by Swedish nobility.

Relocation

Born in WA State, Patricia Shively grew up in Seattle. The 1930 US Census located her family at 4412 Corliss Avenue. Her parents, Opal and John E. Shively lived with the former's father, Perry Meliza (born c. 1849-d. 11/11/1934 in Seattle, WA). Meliza owned this residence, valued at about $6,000 in 1930.

In 1948, Patricia and John Prechek resided at 4152 Union Bay Lane in Seattle. She had graduated from the UW in 1948 and was working for Seattle architect Paul Thiry, Sr. John Prechek remained a student, playing his last game for the UW football team in 11/1949. (See Eugene H. At the UW in 1947, Pat Shively worked on the production of theTyee yearbook, along with architect Alan Liddle (1922-2009), who designed the book's cover and end sheet. She and her second husband Dale Keller retired to Bellevue, WA.

Spouse

Patricia Shively married twice. The first marriage occurred on 06/16/1948 in Seattle, WA, to John L. Prechek, her boyfriend at the University of Washington. (See Ancestry.com, Source Citation Washington State Archives; Olympia, Washington; Washington Marriage Records, 1854-2013; Reference Number: kingcoarchmc148734, accessed 09/17/2021.) Prechek stood 6-foot, 5-inches tall and weighed 240 pounds and played left tackle on the UW Huskies football team. After college, he joined the semi-pro Seattle Ramblers and the Canadian Professional Football League's Regina Roughriders, and became a King County Sheriff's deputy. Her second husband was Dale Keller, an interior designer, who spent time in Japan working for the architect Kenzo Tange (1913-2005).

Biographical Notes

She spoke French fluently.

Pat and Dale Keller were notable collectors of Asian antiquities. They donated their collection of 53 objects to the British Museum in 2010.
