Kesling was a successful builder of Streamlined Moderne houses for the middle class in Los Angeles before 1937; Kesling was convicted of fraud in 1937 and moved to San Diego; he worked here until c. 1957, when, agian, he ran into legal problems, and was forced out of the housing business; he spent his last working years as a carpenter and handyman;
