Williams, along with Robert A. Kennard, Arthur H. Silvers, and Carey K. Jenkins composed a second generation of African-American architects working in Los Angeles, CA, primarily after World War II. They followed in the footsteps of the earlier pioneer designer, Paul R. Williams.
