Parents

Gould's father was the notable and architect and educator, Carl Freylinghausen Gould, Sr., (1873-1939). Gould, Sr., married Dorothy W. Fay (1890-1976) on 06/22/1915. His sister was the noted Seattle arts patron and benefactor of the University of Washington, Anne Gould Hauberg.
