The firm, Kelly and Pittelko, early in its existence, got a great deal of engineering work after the 1964 Earthquake in Anchorage, AK. According to an obituary for Harvey Pittelko in the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce: "He [Pittelko] was noted for his work in rebar detailing for the foundation of Seattle’s Space Needle and for many reconstruction projects in Alaska after the 1964 Anchorage earthquake. Three children: David Pittelko of Seattle, WA; Sharon Pittelko Lambuth (married John Lambuth) of Des Moines, WA; Douglas Pittelko (married Ozlem Pittelko) of Kamas, UT;
