Larrinaga worked as a set designer in Hollywood, and had experience working at the 1915 Pan-Pacific Exposition in San Francisco and became the designer and art director for the California Pacific International Exposition in San Diego, 1934; he also was one of the principal designers of the Texas Centennial Exposition, Fair Park, Dallas, TX, 1934-1935;
