Perkins, Frank H., Architect

Professional History

Principal, Frank H. Perkins, Architect, Seattle, WA, 1903-1923; Perkins maintained offices in the following buildings: 203 Pioneer Building (1903); 127 Epler Building (1904); 327-328 Epler Building (1905-1908); 407 Lumber Exchange Builidng (1909-1911); 630 Lumber Exchange Builidng (1915-1916); 530 Lumber Exchange Builidng (1917-1923); This material culled from Seattle City Directories was compiled by Duane Dietz in his Architects and Landscape Architects of Seattle, 1876-1959 (Seattle, WA: typescript, 1994). A classified ad in the Seattle Times of 08/22/1908, p. 17, indicated Perkins used Office #328 in the Epler Block. As can be seen, architects, like Perkins, who did not build large practices with consistent cash flows, were forced to move from time to time, often to obtain cheaper rents.
