Personal

The Lund Family lived at 1606 Summit Street in Seattle, WA, in 1901. According to the US Census of 1910, the Lunds lived at 720 Blanchard Street, in a neighborhood filled with Norwegian and Swedish immigrant families. In 1910, Lucy Williamson Lund's sister, Margaret (born c. 1866) lived with the family. (She continued to live with her sister and brother-in-law until at least 1920.) Walter and his parents rented a dwelling at 1625 Miner Avenue in 1920; at this time, Nels Lund worked as a cook at the City of Seattle Jail, while Lucy was also a cook and Margaret, a household servant. In 1930, Walter and Nena Lund lived at 2232 Boylston Avenue North; they paid $50 rent per month for this dwelling. Lund died at age 101 at Sun City, AZ.

His father, Nels M. Lund (born c. 1869) was a Danish immigrant, who operated a restaurant in 1901. Nels may have come to the US in 1872, and by 1910, had been naturalized. His mother was Lucy Williamson Lund (born c. 1874 in WI). Lucy's parents were of Scottish-English descent. Nels and Lucy married c. 1897; they had had two children but one died early in life, before 1910.

Walter W. Lund married Nena Mattie Copland (born c. 1902) on 04/20/1923 in Seattle, WA. Born in TX, her father was from TN, her mother TX.

The Lunds had a son, Walter W. Lund, Jr., (born 02/1925 in Seattle, WA).
